DALLAS, Texas, November 1, 2017 — Cenergistic, the energy conservation technology company, today announced that Cenergistic’s board of directors (“Board”) has appointed Ray Hood as Chief Executive Officer effective October 31.
Dr. William S. Spears, the Founder and majority owner who has been the force behind Cenergistic since founding the company 31 years ago said “I am happy to announce the appointment of Ray to lead Cenergistic as we continue to bring innovative services and products to Cenergistic’s customers worldwide.”
Dr. Randy Hoff, former CEO, was promoted to Vice Chairman. His concentration will be growth and business development, particularly higher education, new markets and complex organizations. “Randy’s leadership has increased Cenergistic’s technology offerings. His focus on audacious implementation and process improvements have strengthened our services. He is a stellar individual, and allowing him to concentrate on opening new markets is exciting for me. I’m looking forward to new verticals and expanding our geographies,” Dr. Spears said.

Ray Hood is an experienced executive who brings over twenty five years of experience as the chief executive of technology companies, including his time as CEO of an international, publicly traded, software firm. He extended the company’s sales and service operations to 14 countries and guided it through a successful public offering. Mr. Hood started his career with PriceWaterhouse where he earned a CPA. He later founded technology companies MicroTrek (financial risk management), Neptune Systems (logistics solutions) which he merged with Dallas Systems to form EXE Technologies taking it public in 2000. He also served as CEO of SensorLogic (M2M/IoT software), Qumu Inc. (secure enterprise video software), and Allegro Development (energy trading and risk management software).
Mr. Hood is on the Board of Directors of OneNetwork, a cloud-based “demand driven” supply chain solution provider and spent 10 years on the Executive Board of Advisors at the SMU School of Engineering. He is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a published author of the book “Using Technology to Transform the Value Chain”.
