Energy Education Changes Its Corporate Name to Cenergistic™

New Name Reflects Strong Growth and New Market Opportunities

DALLAS, TX, OCTOBER 15, 2012 — Energy Education, the national energy conservation firm with more than 1,200 clients in 48 states, announced that it has changed its name to Cenergistic. The new name comes at a time of strong client success as well as expansion into new vertical markets.

“The name Energy Education has served us well over the past 26 years,” said the company’s founder and chairman, Dr. William S. Spears. “But our research with clients and prospects revealed that it didn’t reflect the rigor and sophistication of what we do. Increasingly, we use advanced technology and data tools to complement our long-standing behavior-based approach to energy conservation, and we wanted a name that communicates this with impact.”

Dr. Randy Hoff, the company’s CEO, added that 2012 has been a tremendous year for Cenergistic clients. “By year-end, our clients will have topped more than $3 billion in total energy savings, and momentum is building,” said Hoff. “Even as we solidify our strong presence in the education market, including K-12 school districts and colleges and universities, we are expanding rapidly into new markets, including healthcare.”

The name was launched internally and to clients at the company’s National Training Conference today in Nashville, TN. Simultaneously, Cenergistic unveiled a completely new website, The site includes such features as a recently-produced corporate film, more than 35 testimonial videos and an interactive map.
