West Geauga High School Earns Green Ribbon

West Geauga High School teacher Wes Rogge, left, Principal Jay Bishop, second from right, and teacher Mike Sustin, right, met with U.S. Rep. Dave Joyce in Washington, D.C., last week to receive the 2014 Green Ribbon School award from the U.S. Department of Education.

WGHS is one of only three schools in Ohio and 48 schools nationwide receiving this award, which honors schools that save valuable resources and money, improve health and wellness for students and staff, and boost learning through STEM programs and civic skills.

With West Geauga being Rep. Joyce’s alma mater, it was even more special for him to have the opportunity to congratulate West Geauga on this achievement.
